Fieldrunners coming to the PSP & PSPgo Oct 1st!
Hello, everyone!
Subatomic Studios is proud to announce that Fieldrunners will be launching on the PSP Minis Store on October 1st!
Those who have already experienced Fieldrunners on the iPhone are in for a treat! The PSP version includes lots of new content, from new maps and towers to new fieldrunners! Also, exclusive to the PSP version is our themed music and enhanced graphics. We have painstakingly reworked many of the visual effects to make your experience all the more satisfying as you thrash your enemies. But don’t just take our word for it—try it for yourself and see why this is being touted as the most fun-packed Fieldrunners to date!

The controls on the PSP and PSPgo were carefully crafted for maximum control. Players should be able to “pick up and play” the game with more fine-tuned precision than ever before.

So you must now ask yourself, “Do you have what it takes to dominate the fieldrunners and rise to the top as the ultimate Tower Defense master?”

Skyway looks so cool I’m looking forward for the Ipod touch version update. LOL. I’m going to buy the maps because this app is amazing and this app is worth the money and the maps will too:D I hope these maps are free on the Ipod touch version too. If not I will still buy them, and I’m going to work on buying most of them if not all lol

So awesome! Skyway is remarkably sweet!!
I hope you won’t forget to update Fieldrunners every once in a while, even when you start up your next game.

Where can we buy it for PSP? Online? Playstation store? In stores?… ?

===Fieldrunners for the PSP can be bought in the Playstation Network in the PSP itself, in the Minis Store; it can also be purchased online through “Sony Media Go”, Sony’s Media Software which can be found here:
http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/products/mediago/default_ENU.asp?page=download
Sony also sells PSN Credit in physical stores, which can then be used to purchase Fieldrunners in the PSP.===

The Fieldrunners in iphone really needs an update. The last time I saw there will be new content available soon, but it is sad that it is for PSP, not iphone.
October 1st, 2009 at 10:57 pm
Really? We (iPhone users) made you, and we have been forgotten? That’s nice to see you have given cool new stuff to people who have not supported you.
October 1st, 2009 at 11:04 pm
it is sad to see you have abandoned the iphone/touch i wish you guys luck and hope it all works out… sorta

Thanks for leaving your iphone/ipod touch users out in the cold. I know you are trying to expand your market but come on. We made your company prosperous and now your leaving us out in the open.
A good developer includes the mainstream platforms, not just one at a time and for sure doesn’t try to alienate an entire userbase. Unless you give the same type of exciting updates to your iphone/ipod touch users, your in for a rude awakening when it comes to trying to make good money on a product that doesn’t have the established user base that you have with the iphone.
I should know, I’m in Marketing and Economics.

Fieldrunners on the PSP is beyond incredible!! I was hooked on my friend’s iphone version, but since picking up the PSP Go for myself, I have to say this is the SUPERIOR version! You guys rock!
October 4th, 2009 at 11:27 pm
Come on guys get a grip… They have already said that the content is coming to the iPhone and iPod touch platforms at a later date. They’re a small team so it makes sense they can only really concentrate on one at a time. Plus, opening up to new markets means more $$$. Which means more Fieldrunners and more Subatomic games in the future. I think you “supporters” are the ones leaving them out in the cold…

iphoneuser needs to maybe learn a thing or two. Lets look at one of the biggest games of all time GTA3. Came out to the PC, XBOX, and PS2 all at different times. Half Life 3 also came out 2 months later on the PS3. To add a 3rd major game I easily found with multiple release dates. Rock Band came out on the Wii 7 months later. I guess thouse developers knew nothing and you know everything.

Woooo. Hey guys that made fieldrunners
. I hope you actualy read our posts. Anyway this game is so awesome I brought it the day I got my iPod touch and still play it. You said an update would be coming soon in July and I’ve been checking your site everyday since but the update still isn’t out
. I hope it comes out soon
. And will it cost anything because if it does I’m going to go to the shop and buy myself a iTunes giftcard now
. And can you tell us what to expect in the new version? Also can you make the update free for the first 24hrs so all the followers that pay attention can get a free update? All I can say is that fieldrunners is the best TD on the iPhone/iPod and I wish I had a psp so I could play it
.

Also for extra $$$ you could add it to the wii minigame store or xbox minigame store that would be really cool. And maybe as an idea for a later version on the iPod/iPhone you could add a sniper tower? Or maybe a tower that focuses on air units like a anti-aircraft gun? Another idea was a lava tower that shot out bursts of flaming rock at the fieldrunners? And you could add a volcanic/fire map that could have a volcanoes in the middle which errupts every now and then to destroy some units? Hope this helps even a little bit
.

Just wondering and asking nicely but do you guys actually read the posts on the forums? Also I forgot to mention how cool fieldrunners was on psp my friend has one and it is like way better than iPod/iPhone version
.

I think this is great news for PSP owners, however I don’t own a PSP and I have no intention of buying one so I feel rather let down by the developers on this one.
I don’t think it would of been too much trouble for you to add an extra map just to keep your iphone/ipod fans happy whilst you where developing the PSP version.
October 6th, 2009 at 11:34 am
I am greatful for your achievements on advancing your market but i was wondering if you could continue contributing some updates to the iphone/itouch fieldrunners as well :l.
I’ve really enjoyed fieldrunners, and hope some future updates are made to the iphone/itouch versions as well. I’ll be sure to buy the psp version as well =) Game looks heaps good!

Why not do some DLC for the iphone as an added revenue stream – I would pay 99c per map !!!

Still no update on the iphone version? I feel bad. I haven’t played this game for a few months because I got perfect score on all the maps. Now, I am waiting for new towers and new maps.
Please…

IPOD UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!
on you guys fir not updating
I paid to play fr on ipod, not psp.
October 14th, 2009 at 6:16 am
What is the point of getting angry at them. They don’t even read this.
October 15th, 2009 at 6:33 am
Fieldrunners is awesome and the devs are awesome for continuing to make it better and better and for bringing it to PSP. The new levels look they have the kind of attention to detail and polish that is the secret to FR’s success. I’m sure the devs are doing their best to get the new version out for iPhone as soon as they can.
Does anyone really think they’re not releasing it just because they’re sitting around doing nothing? If you want to hear from them, don’t discourage their participation by being ignorant and rude.
October 16th, 2009 at 1:38 pm
It has been confirmed that the Iphone update will be out before the end of the year. : )
October 16th, 2009 at 3:38 pm
While this sounds all cool and everything, unless it is going to be retooled on the iphone/touch, I think this is BS. I am not saying that releasing Fieldrunners on other platforms is bad, but that creating an updated product for another platform and ignoring the fan base that put money in your pocket in the first place is a bad idea. I don’t have a PSP, don’t plan on buying a PSP.
November 4th, 2009 at 2:42 pm
keep waiting for iphone update. Man. I love this game, but we need update.
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:20 pm
Still no update? This is not what was advertised by you guys when I purchased your game. It quite clearly says ” lots of updates!” but nothing this is not so good and as an avid and loyal gamer you guys lose my support and little by little everyone else as well will stick with other devs. Thanx while it lasted…..
November 24th, 2009 at 6:45 pm
I wonder what’s the hold up for the new updates. The PSP version came with the new maps. Is it Apple that’s holding up the update. Still waiting…..
December 10th, 2009 at 7:09 pm
